Many thanks for electing to support Cupar Foodbank.
Your donations help us to provide food for individuals and families in need. We are currently feeding 100 people a month – which equates to 900 meals.
This is only possible due to the generosity of people in Cupar and the surrounding areas. As a foodbank we want people to enjoy the food we put in their food parcel and we are fortunate enough to be able to give people choice. However we sometimes run low on stocks of some items which are included in our list on the right:
Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.
Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we always need.
October 2018 update –Thanks to the recent appeal for food by Cllr Marjoram we are currently suitably stocked and whilst we always need a steady flow of food donations (please see the list of suggested food donations in the panel to the right) we are still low of UHT milk, sponge puddings and long-life fruit juice.
If you are happy to drop off food donations, please see the table below for our food collection point locations:
|Location of food donation point|
The Lighthouse, 67 Bonnygate, Cupar
|SNP offices – 38-40 Bonnygate, Cupar|
Tesco permanent collection at both St Andrews & Cupar
We get 20% top up from Tesco now which helps enable us to meet everyday running costs.
We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.
Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
